In may not be January yet, but in November January Jones takes the month in the pages of GQ.
In the mag the Mad Men actress offers up how she got the name January (Yes, it's her real name.)
Embarrassingly so. Her parents plucked it from the lead character in Jacqueline Susann’s Once Is Not Enough, a romantic novel that climaxes with a drug-fueled, ellipsis-filled orgy. (“Someone was spreading her legs…in and out…in and out…fuck…suck…everyone was loving her.” January: “Imagine realizing you’re named after that character.”)
Who would have know?
As for the real juice in the article. Jones says,
"The guy I was dating when I first got to LA was not supportive of my acting. He was like, I don't think you're going to be good at this. So -- f--- you! He only has nice things to say now -- if anything, I should thank him. Because the minute you tell me I can't do something, that's when I'm most motivated."
That guy? Ashton Kutcher.
