Joe Simpson Stands Up For His Daughters

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz'S newest venture is a stint on Broadway starring at Roxy in the hit Chicago. At the opening night performance Joe Simpson stood up to rumors and comments made about his two daughters.

As Us reports,

"We as a family are under a lot pressure," Simpson said, adding that people want "to make us look bad and wants us to fail."

While Ashlee, 25, and husband Pete Wentz doted on baby Bronx, who just turned one, she was also recently fired from the CW's Melrose Place.

"It was never a loss," her father says of the Melrose burn. "The world says whatever it says. [The world], again, always want to make it look like we'r'e failures but we're really just a family that works hard."

Such is life, but we do have to give Jessica credit for staying strong! She just might be the most secretly loved girl in Hollywood.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz Cut From 'Melrose Place'

Well that didn't last too long. Maybe as long as her performance on SNL. Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Colin Egglesfield are no longer a "guest star" on the new Melrose Place.

As People reports,

The decision to cut the two actors has been “the original plan going into the development of the show,” executive producer Todd Slavkin tells EW. “We felt that once the murder mystery [involving their characters] was resolved, the tone of the show was going to shift … and [Simpson-Wentz's] character would move on.”

In a statement released after the announcement, Simpson-Wentz said, “Having the chance to play Violet on Melrose Place has been a thrill. Although I always knew her story would come to a final, insanely unpredictable end, playing a creepy, unstable character was something I always wanted to do, so I jumped at the chance. Thanks to the CW and the entire cast and crew of Melrose Place for allowing me this opportunity.”

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz Turns 25, Celebrates in Vegas

Being married and having a kid hasn't slowed Ashlee Simpson-Wentz down a bit. The singer/actress turned 25 on Saturday and to celebrate she threw a party at Wet Republic at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Ashlee has a lot to celebrate this year where she guest appeared on CSI and is now a regular cast member to the new Melrose Place.

Also at the party was hubby Pete Wentz and sister Jessica Simpson sans dog. OK, I know did we really have to mention the dog thing?

We couldn't agree more that the talentless wanna be celeb Perez Hilton a.k.a. Mario Lavandeira is an ass. Just months after the Black Eyed Peas manager punched Mario -- it seems as though Ashlee Simpson would like to do the same but is taking her fight to Twitter instead.

According to E! News,

The infamous blogger got all giddy reporting over the weekend that Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and hubby Pete Wentz had a huge public spat Saturday at the one-year anniversary of his Chicago bar, Angels and Kings.

Hilton quoted eyewitnesses who reported that a supposedly boozed-up Simpson-Wentz instigated the row, telling the father of her child he was acting "horrible." And, said Perez's witness, "She made him leave his own party early."

But Ashlee's calling BS on the report via a Twitter offensive.

Making it clear that there was no bad blood with her beloved, she first tweeted her love to the Fall Out Boy frontman: "I had so much fun with ur parents last night. Thanx for dedicating the dj set to me. Love you more magic. I miss u already."

She then went after the gossip hound with a vengeance.

"When all you do is make up untrue stories—look in the mirror. Do you even feel human?? Karma is a bitch. Your story is WAY off," she wrote.

Perez responded to Pete Wentz saying,

To Pete, Perez offered mock sympathy: "Sorry to hear what Ashlee put you through last night."

Ashlee responded with,

"WRONG," replied Ashlee. "My husband is an amazing dj and was dedicating songs to me. We were just havin fun. Our love is amazing. Get ur own life."

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz Stands Up For Big Sister Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson was back in the blogosphere this week for her stunning performance at the 99.9 Kiss Country’s 24th Annual Chili Cook-Off.

We did not criticize her weight (just her fashion) but others took a shot at her weight, and since then little sister Ashlee has spoken out about the criticism of her sister's weight on her personal blog saying,

I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister's weight.  A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman's weight or figure as a headline on Fox News.

All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms and just because you're a celebrity, there shouldn't be a different standard.

Is this something you would say to your wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, or even a friend?

I seriously doubt it.

How can we expect teenage girls to love and respect themselves in an environment where we criticize a size 2 figure?

Now can we focus on the things that really matter.

And just today Star magazine is reporting that Tony Romo might have cheated on Jess,

We exclusively report that just hours after Jess flew out of Burbank airport on Jan. 16, her boyfriend decided to host a party — at her house! And if that wasn't bad enough, the hunky quarterback hooked up with a beautiful brunette.

Amid Jessica's gold albums, the party raged on downstairs. But on the second floor, Tony was enjoying his own private party — with a long haired, olive-skinned cutie.

"Everyone was talking about it downstairs," dishes the source. "The girls were saying it was so wrong and shady of Tony to cheat on Jessica — especially in her place! I just can't believe he would hook up with another woman at his own girlfriend's house."

We don't know if we can put much into this as just last year there were claims that Tony spent a guys weekend in Chicago where he "had some fun" as well. That turned out to be blow out of proportion.

Pete Wentz & Ashlee Simpson-Wentz To Act. For Reals.

Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz are taking some of the limelight away from being parents and whatever else it is they do to become actor and actress in a guest star role in CSI: NY.

According to Entertainment Weekly,

A show spokesperson declined to comment, but I'm told the Wentzes will not be playing themselves in the episode, which is slated to air on March 18. Rather, they will be playing Bonnie and Clyde wannabes.

It's probably a good thing that Ashlee takes a prime time role that is not in a live show format. We all remember how that went. Look at the bnirght side at least it's not Spencer and Heidi.

Pete Wentz Hates Us and Everybody Else Who Continues To Keep His "Career" Alive!

Pete Wentz told Blender magazine as reported in Page Six,

He stopped reading online media: "I was letting the blogs get to me. It's semi-frustrating when your name actually becomes a synonym for douche bag." Wentz also revealed: "I'm paranoid pretty much all the time. I can take three Xanax bars and not feel a thing." The magazine notes: "Truth be told, he doesn't look great. Dark bags ring his eyes and his skin has a waxy, jaundiced pallor."

Pete Wentz is hating the self title douche bag? Really? We kinda liked that name. Then he attacks celeb bloggers... the same ones who keep him of fame relevance? Umm, if it wasn't for the blogs Pete Wentz wouldn't be as big as Pete Wentz is today.

We along with the rest of the celeb blogging community should be thanked for posting about him weekly... and dam it maybe if he wouldn't do douche baggy things so often then he wouldn't be considered such a douche bag.
