Paul J. Alessi has been in many Hollywood productions but when speaking to him instantly you know he is most proud of his current film, Knuckle Draggers in which Alessi plays the lead, "Kyle" who instructs his brother Ethan the ins and outs of dating and what women really want from a male perspective. The tag line for the movie explains it all "Some Things Never Change," and Knuckle Draggers provokes questions about what modern couples want versus what they need, and how their needs may not have evolved much from those of our caveman ancestors.
This is an impressive cast, Alessi's brother in the film is played by Ross McCall whose credits include the HBO miniseries ‘Band of Brothers’ and most recently 'Crash,' the Starz TV series.' Omar Gooding plays Ethan’s best friend ‘Russell’. Omar’s credits include ‘Baby Boy’, the HBO series ‘Deadwood’ and he’s just joined the cast of the upcoming Jerry Bruckheimer TV series ‘Miami Trauma’. Amie Barsky plays ‘Patricia’, Ethan’s strong-minded female best friend. The film also includes Danielle Nicolet ‘The Starter Wife’ on USA Netowrk, Justin Baldoni ‘Heroes’ on NBC, Serah D’Laine ‘General Hospital’ and Jennifer Alden ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’.
Knuckle Draggers has won several film festival awards including the Newport Beach Film Festival, Delray Beach Film Festival, Central Florida Film Festival, HollyShorts Film Festival, and ReelHeART International Film Festival.
Knuckle Draggers is a well written, well directed film made in the spirit of 'Swingers' that both men and women can enjoy and relate to in modern times.
